A great place to stay on a walking holiday in Spain

An enchanting hotel located in an idyllic and exclusive spot. Situated in the countryside, the hotel lies 1 km (20 mins walk) from the charming, whitewashed village of Frigiliana, on the edge of the Sierra Almijara Reserve, overlooking the sea, mountains and village. There are 12 bedrooms, each reminiscent of individual country cottages; they have their own independent access and each room is unique in style and décor. In addition they are equipped with ample terraces and a wood-burning stove for the cooler months. Conveniently situated for getting to know other areas of the region, the hotel is 50 km from Malaga, 7 km from Nerja and 129 km from Granada.

The rooms are designed to be like small Spanish cottages, each one with its own private entrance from the garden. Every room has its own en suite bathroom and is equipped with TV, wood burning stove, air conditioning/warm air heating, minibar and hair dryer.

The décor uses warm materials from the area such as clay floors, traditionally made tiles, wood and rustic colonial Provencal style furniture. This creates a harmonious mixture of styles that fits in perfectly with the surrounding countryside and nature in its purest state without forfeiting any of the comfort.

How it works

You will be collected from and returned to your accommodation.

We will eat out together as a group - From the restaurant menu, you select what you wish to eat and drink at your own cost.

Self Dine - Rural hotel (Rural hotel is located approx. 20 mins walk from Frigiliana) The hotel has a restaurant, however, being family run, it is closed on Sunday evenings.

How it works

Should you select to stay at the hotel on a Self Dine scheduled week, we will supply courtesy transport on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings to allow you to experience eating out in the village.
